This recognition means so much to us as a team. It celebrates our mission to make greener living accessible to everyone, particularly for households facing fuel poverty. Since launching, we’ve helped thousands of families across the UK access free, energy-saving home improvements and lower their energy bills through government-backed funding schemes like ECO4.
Being recognised as a green leader in the region is a huge honour and a moment of reflection on how far we’ve come and where we’re heading next.

The UK StartUp Awards, supported by Airwallex, Inventya, Join Talent and V-Rum, shine a light on new and growing businesses that are shaping the future of the UK economy. With Manchester, Liverpool, and surrounding areas driving forward innovation and entrepreneurship, we’re proud to represent the North West as a purpose-led business helping people and the planet.
According to the awards’ founder, Professor Dylan Jones-Evans OBE, the StartUp Awards are about recognising those brave enough to take an idea and build something special, something that creates jobs, challenges the norm, and makes a real difference in their communities.

What’s Next?
All regional winners, including One Energy, now move forward to the UK StartUp Awards national final, which takes place at Ideas Fest on 11th September, often dubbed the “Glastonbury for Entrepreneurs.” We’re looking forward to joining the best of the best from across the UK and showcasing how One Energy is powering forward with purpose.
